Reverse Raffle
What is a Reverse Raffle?
Each year in October we hold our scholarship fund raiser known as the Reverse Raffle. This is a fun evening for everyone and is open to the public.
The evening begins with cocktails and a delicious dinner which will be available for an additional, nominal cost. (Advanced registration is required). There will be other fun and engaging events going on that evening, in addition to the Reverse Raffle.
- Chinese Raffle, where guests can purchase raffle tickets, then place their tickets into the bags of raffle prizes that they would like to win. These tickets will be pulled during brief intermissions during the Reverse Raffle. Proceeds from the Chinese Raffle are used to fund our Warm Coats Project (winter outerwear for Lombard grade school students).
- Silent Auction items to bid on that evening - winners to be announced at the end of the evening.
- Door prize drawing for those in attendance that evening.
- Ace of Spades contest going on that evening - Split the Pot with a TWIST! Purchase a playing card that will be torn in half - once all cards are sold, a card half will be drawn out of a bowl - the person holding the other half of the card that is drawn will have either a 50% or 100% chance to win half of the proceeds from that game. More details on the TWIST will be available that evening.
After dinner, the raffle begins with numbered balls being pulled out of a mixer one at a time. When a number is called, it is considered “out”. Numbers will be called throughout the evening, and eliminated one by one, until there is a winner with the final ball pulled. There will be some options that will allow you to put your number back into the game - information available that evening. The last 10 balls pulled will receive monetary prizes on a sliding scale as follows:
- Sixth thru Tenth balls pulled win $200 each
- Fifth to last ball pulled wins $400
- Fourth to last ball pulled wins $600
- Third to last ball pulled wins $800
- Second to last ball pulled wins $1000
- Last ball pulled wins $5000
These winnings are based upon 200 tickets sold - If less tickets are sold, actual winnings will be adjusted accordingly.
Tickets are sold first-come first-served. Winner need not be present, but the event is so much fun, you will want to be there - trust us!
